Two drivers charged after three-vehicle-collision in West Perth

Perth County OPP says two people have been charged after another intersection related collision in the area.

Shortly after 7 o’clock Wednesday night, first responders received a report of a three-vehicle collision at Ontario Road and Wellington Street in Mitchell.

Police say the intersection is controlled by a traffic light and they determined that one driver did not stop at the light.

Two of the drivers were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 43-year-old West Perth resident has been charged with failing to stop at a red light and during the investigation, police say it was found that another involved driver was suspended from driving.

That driver, a 28-year-old Stratford resident, has been charged with Driving While Under Suspension.
