There are two new COVID-19 cases in Huron Perth.
Updated data released by Huron Perth Public Health Monday afternoon shows one new case in Perth County and one new case in Huron County.
It brings the overall number of cases in the region to 61.
Huron Perth Medical Officer of Health Dr. Miriam Klassen says both cases are connected to a previous case with one asymptomatic and the other mildly symptomatic.
She says they are closely monitoring both people’s contacts as they self isolate at home.
The data doesn’t specify where in the counties the new cases are coming from.
Five people have died from COVID-19 in Huron Perth while 53 have recovered.
Another 117 tests have been completed bringing the total to 10,780.
