The MP for Perth-Wellington has a new role under new Conservative leader Erin O’Toole.
John Nater has been named to O’Toole’s Shadow Cabinet as Shadow Minister for Rural Economic Development.
Critics are government ministers’ main questioners in the House of Commons and are supposed to be ready to move into their offices if the Opposition took over governing.
Nater served as Deputy House Leader of the Official Opposition from November 28th, 2019 to September 2nd, 2020.
The Conservatives have a national caucus meeting on Wednesday and O’Toole says they’ll soon present their own plan for economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
