Breaking: Three more long-term care residents die in COVID-19 outbreak in Listowel

Three more long-term care residents have died in a COVID-19 outbreak at Caressant Care in Listowel.

Huron Perth Public Health confirmed the news to MyStratfordNow.com on Friday afternoon.

The deaths bring the total number of residents who have passed away in the outbreak to seven.

It comes as HPPH reported 25 new cases in the region with 15 in North Perth, two in Perth East and two in Stratford.

One case has been reassigned to a different health unit and the rest are in Huron County.

There are currently 153 active cases in the region, up from the 148 reported on Thursday.

There have been 1,122 cases since the start of the pandemic with 937 recovered.

The death toll is now at 32.
