Majority of Huron Perth businesses following rules around COVID-19

It appears a majority of businesses in Huron Perth are following the rules around COVID-19.

Huron Perth Medical Officer of Health Dr.Miriam Klassen says fifteen provincial safety officers conducted a workplace campaign last week.

They visited 137 big box stores and other locations that were allowed to be open under the provincial lockdown.

She says 64 per cent were found to be in compliance with the rules but adds seven tickets and nine occupational and safety orders were issued for non-compliance.

Dr.Klassen says the most common contravention was businesses not having a safety plan in place.
