Dr.Klassen says we’ve been learning as we go along in the COVID-19 pandemic

We’ve never faced a COVID-19 pandemic before and we’ve been learning as we go along.

That from Huron Perth Medical Officer of Health Dr.Miriam Klassen when commenting on the current state of the pandemic in Ontario with a new daily record of 4,736 cases reported on Thursday and a record high 659 people in intensive care.

Dr.Klassen says all along decision makers have been trying to find the right balance between public health measures and socioeconomic health.

“In hindsight, perhaps one might conclude that we should have enacted some stricter measures sooner.”

Her comments come as Ontario Premier Doug Ford is anticipated to announce further restrictions on Friday with cases soaring.
