The death toll from COVID-19 in our region is now at 54.
Huron Perth Public Health updated their data Wednesday and added the latest death.
An HPPH spokesperson says the death was that of a community member and it was not related to any ongoing outbreaks.
They didn’t say where in the community the person was from.
There are 15 new cases in the region with 14 of them in South Huron and the other in St.Marys.
There are 77 active cases, nine more than Tuesday, with 40 active cases associated with variants of concern which is down three from Tuesday.
