A 35-year-old London man faces assault charges after several unprovoked attacks in Stratford.
It started around 10:15 Saturday morning when police say the man went to the Home Hardware on Huron Street and punched a victim in the face who was waiting in line.
The person who was hit fell and struck his head on a metal shelf and the suspect took off with police quickly contacted.
The victim, a 62-year-old Stratford resident, in still in hospital being treated for his injuries.
Officers started searching for the suspect but he stopped on Centre Street and went up to a person who was walking his dog and punched him leaving him with minor injuries.
Police figured out the same suspect was involved in both incidents and his vehicle was found on Erie Street where he was arrested.
He’s been charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Assault, and Mischief Under $5000 and he was held in custody.
