Stratford opening cooling centre with heat wave expected

Stratford is looking out for its most vulnerable residents with a heat wave on the way.

With the temperature expected to reach around thirty degrees until Wednesday, the city is opening a cooling centre at the Burnside Agriplex.

It will be open from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. from Saturday until Wednesday.

There are washrooms on site and water will be available with COVID-19 protocols in place.

You’re asked not to visit the centre if you have any symptoms of the virus.
