Stratford planning public information sessions on city operations

The City of Stratford is shining the spotlight on how the city operates.

Officials say they are planning a series of interactive public information sessions for later this fall that will cover topics including the role of council and administration.

Ian McCormack, a local government expert and author, will be leading the four-part interactive series.

This four-part interactive series will include:
• Overview of City Government – what the City can and can’t do
• Understanding Roles in the City – what the Mayor, Council, CAO and administration do
• Engagement in Local Government – how citizens can get involved and have a positive impact
• City Finance – where the money comes from and where it goes

More details, including on how to participate, are expected to be provided in the coming weeks.
