HHPH supports new proof of vaccination system

Huron Perth’s Medical Officer of Health says she’s pleased the province is taking further steps to protect the public from COVID-19.

As of September 22nd, people in Ontario will need to show proof of being vaccinated against the virus and a photo ID when they do things like eat inside a restaurant, go to the gym, see a movie or go to a concert.

The only exceptions that will be allowed are for unvaccinated people with medical exemptions, and people under 12 years old who are not yet eligible for vaccination.

With virus cases on the rise locally and across Ontario, primarily among people who aren’t vaccinated or who are partially vaccinated, Dr.Miriam Klassen says she’s urging anyone who isn’t fully vaccinated yet to do so as soon as possible.
