Come the fall, local residents wont be able to hop on a Go Train to get to Toronto.
Metrolinx says a pilot project that saw Go Train service between London and Toronto, with stops in Stratford and St.Marys, will end on October 13th, nearly two years after it first started.
The decision was made after Via Rail announced it plans to bring back its train 82-83 which operated between London and Toronto prior to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Via Rail spokesperson told CBC News that they are “currently in discussions with our infrastructure partners to coordinate the resumption of this service and these discussions are going well.”
