Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth operating in crisis mode

Our local humane society is operating in crisis mode.

The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth says they currently have 345 animals in their care between both centres, kennels that are constantly full, and a waiting list of 139 pets needing help.

Staff report they are also receiving a high volume of calls from pet owners needing help and so far this year alone, they have taken 1,066 stray and abandoned animals into their care.

They are appealing to the public for help and say you can adopt, donate, foster, and take part in support programs.
