Closures

Stratford:

  • The City of Stratford has closed all of its administrative buildings to the public until further notice. This closure includes City Hall (1 Wellington Street), the City Hall Annex (82 Erie Street), both fire halls (#1 at 388 Erie Street and #2 at 44 McCarthy Road), the cemetery building (4 Avondale Avenue), the Public Works Yard (303 King Street) and the Stratford Municipal Airport office.
  • The City of Stratford is closing its Anne Hathaway Day Care Centre and March Break day camps immediately. Parents and guardians in both programs have been contacted about picking up their children.
  • City of Stratford Playgrounds are closed . This includes all municipal playgrounds, as well as the all-wheels skatepark.
  • Stratford Police Service:  Members of the public will no longer be able to attend Stratford Police Headquarters. The
    doors to the police station will be locked and access will be unavailable. All members of the public are
    encouraged to contact us by phone, if, and when, police assistance is required. An intercom is available
    to the left of the stairs, leading to the front doors of the police station, at 17 George Street West. If you
    are in need of assistance and are unable to contact us by phone, please utilize the intercom to contact
    one of our Clerk Communicators. Service at the sub-station in the Town of St Marys will also be
    unavailable as Town Hall in St Marys will also be closed to the public. If in need of assistance in St Marys or Perth South, please contact us by phone.
  • Stratford Police Service is cancelling all upcoming events, including the Glam Exchange. They will not be accepting clothing donations at this time.
  • The Outpatient Lab Hours at the Stratford General Hospital are changing! Hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday to Friday. This change goes into effect March 24, 2020 until further notice.
  • Stratford Public Library is closed until further notice
  • Stratford Festival has postponed the 2020 season until further notice.
  • investStratford has postponed its International Women’s Day event scheduled for March 24 and will begin using teleconference and videoconference tools for its group and one-on-one startup programming.
  • Stewart Reynold’s Social Media North scheduled for May has been postponed until further notice.
  • Festival Marketplace has cancelled all March Break events
  • The Centre for Employment & Learning office and adult ESL classes are closed or cancelled. If any students need assistance they can email [email protected]
  • ONE CARE Home & Community Support Services program cancellations- Dining for Seniors at The Local in Stratford and all Huron County dining programs. All Exercise classes and blood pressure clinics in Stratford and Huron. The March 17 volunteer training event is cancelled. All other ONE CARE programs are still operating.   • The euchre tournament and dinner scheduled for Friday, March 20 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Morgan St., Stratford has been postponed until May 1, 2020.
  • Stratford Concert Choir the next 4 rehearsals namely, March 16th, March 23rd, March 30th, and April 6th are CANCELLED.  The Durufle Requiem concert slated for March 28th, to be held at St. Joseph’s Church Stratford is CANCELLED.
  •  “Big Band – Big Dance!” On March 28 has been cancelled. Tickets purchased through ticketscene.ca will be refunded automatically. Tickets purchased from Sinclair Pharmacy can be returned for refund or can be kept and will be honoured at our next dance, November 14, 2020.
  • The annual Swan Parade scheduled for Sunday, April 5 has been cancelled. The swans will be moved from their winter quarters to Lake Victoria by City staff at an appropriate time.
  •  Saturday night Dances for March have been cancelled at the Legion in Stratford. March 28 Dances cancelled. Our Saturday socials for March 21 a d 28th are also cancelled for now. Cornhole on Wednesday nights at the legion is postponed for now until further notice.
  • All Zehrs cooking school activities are cancelled.
  • Stratford Perth Museum closed until further notice
  • River Valley Golf and Snow Tube Slide is closed for the tubing season
  • Stratford Legion will be closed until further noticed.
  • Stratford Country Club is closed until further notice.
  • Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce Business After 5’s have postponed until further notice.
  • The Poetry 2020 Event originally scheduled for Saturday, April 11th in Stratford has been postponed to a later date (tba)
  • Features Stratford has temporarily closed the dining area.  Takeout only until further notice.
  • Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce has postponed the Mayor’s April 6 address. The Tax and Talk event at Revival House on March 26, and the chamber’s annual general meeting on April 2 at The Queen’s Inn. The Chamber office is closed until further notice.
  • Job Site Brewery Stratford Taproom /Workshop service is closed until further notice.  Retail only, with limited hours
  • Tim Hortons has closed their dining room seating until further notice. take-out, drive-thru and delivery service where available
  • Foster’s Inn Stratford is closed until further notice
  • Madeyln’s Diner is closed for in house dining until further notice. Some take out is available for a limited time.
  • Black Swan Brewing Stratford. Taproom service is closed.  Retail only.  Delivery options are available.
  • The Hub, Barbecue by the Hub and Herald Haus Brew Co have closed until further notice. Take out available.  The Hub Butchery and Market remains open.
  • The Local Community Food Centre Stratford is closed (kitchen and garden programs) until further notice.
  • Community Living Stratford. All regularly scheduled day programming at ELC has been cancelled until further notice. ELC remains open, but is restricting all non-essential visitors from entering the building.

  • Keystone Alley and Braai House Stratford are closed until further notice. Take out available – limited. The Little Green Grocery remains open.
  • Joe’s Diner (Stratford and St Marys) is closing in house dining until further notice. Take out only.
  • Stratford-Perth  Family YMCA.  ALL Health and Fitness facilities (gyms) – CLOSED until further notice. ALL Camp and Outdoor Service locations – CLOSED until further notice. ALL Child Care Centres – CLOSED until April 6.  ALL Immigrant and Employment Services (Kitchener, Waterloo and Stratford) – Alternative services offered, please contact ahead of time. ALL Youth Centres and Community-Based Programs – CLOSED until further notice
  • The Urban Barber Stratford is closed for one week or until further notice.
  • Gilley’s Pubhouse Stratford in house dining is closed until further notice. Take out and delivery will be available
  • Infinite Care Day Spa Stratford is closed until further notice
  • The Kiwanis Festival of the Performing Arts Stratford CONCERT OF THE CENTURIES scheduled for March 29, is postponed
  • Bethel’s Community Meal, held at Knox Church Stratford, is cancelled until further notice.
  • Sound Fixation Stratford is closed until further notice. Open only for order pick-ups
  • Stratford and District Horticultural Society meeting scheduled for March 30th has been cancelled.
  • Famme and Co. Professional Chartered Accountants Stratford. All face-to-face meetings are cancelled and will be changed to communication by telephone, email, or video calling where available. Staff will not travel to any client’s place of business. Office will remain open, however, no longer providing client documents for pick up and signing at their front counters.  Speak with your accountant on alternate delivery methods.
  • Boston Pizza Stratford has temporarily closed DINING ROOM & SPORTS BAR service. Kitchen is STILL OPEN preparing orders for TAKE OUT & DELIVERY.
  • Army Navy and Airforce Veterans Unit 261 Stratford. Friday Lunches and Wednesday Wing Nights are cancelled until further notice
  • Demetre’s Family Eatery Stratford has closed in house dining .  Take out service with free delivery available.
  • Dudes and Dames Designing Salon Stratford is closed until further notice.
  • Freeland Diner Stratford has closed in house dining. Take Out is available and they have a limited time drive thru window.
  • Annie’s Seafood Restaurant Stratford in house dining is closed. Take out and delivery available
  • Stratford Farm Equipment is not accepting drop-in visits at this time.  If the matter is urgent  – call ahead to make an appointment.
  • The Perth County Experience Development 101 workshops taking place at the Listowel Golf Club March 30: the Mitchell Golf and Country Club April 20 have been postponed.
  • Stratford Festival Marketplace Shopping Centre. The 30th Anniversary Celebration for March 27th has been cancelled at this time. Ballots are still available and the celebration will be rescheduled at a later date.
  • The Bruce Hotel Stratford has closed the hotel and restaurant until April 1st.
  • The Stratford Record Show that was to be held at the Stratford Legion for Apr 4th has been postponed.
  • The Emily Murphy Centre has closed their office until further notice  If you require support from The Emily Murphy Centre during this time, please call 519-273-7350

  • With the Agriplex closed, The Stratford Farmers Market is closed until further notice.
  • Habitat For Humanity Stratford Re-Store is closed until further notice. NO drop offs/donations at this time.
  • The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth has closed both of its animal centres, except for essential services until further notice.  Visit their website at kwsphumane.ca
  • Perth County Players (Stratford) have postponed their auditions and fall performances of Mamma Mia.
     Town of St. Marys:

Mayor Al Strathdee has declared a State of Emergency for the Town Of St Marys.  Details and updates www.townofstmarys.com

The following facilities will be closed indefinitely as of Saturday, March 14, 2020:

  • Pyramid Recreation Centre (including arena and pool)
  • St. Marys Friendship Centre
  • St. Marys Youth Centre
  • St. Marys Museum
  • St. Marys Public Library

The closure will affect all programs, bookings, and events at each of these facilities, including EarlyON programs. Refunds will be provided to program registrants and facility renters. The decision follows the Huron Perth Health Unit’s new recommendation to cancel gatherings and events of 250 people or more.

The St. Marys Child Care Centre will also be closed and Before and After School programs will be cancelled until further notice

The Town continues to monitor this evolving situation and is following the recommendations of Huron Perth Public Health.

Wildstone Bar and Grill St Marys will be closed until further notice

St Marys Legion is closed until further notice.

Sunset Diner in St Marys in house dining is closed until further notice. Take out available.

St Marys Bowling Lanes will be closed until further notice

Rotary Club of St Marys. The Rural-Urban Night for April 9th has been postponed until Nov 5th.

Lyric Flowers in St Marys has closed the store until further notice.  Please call the store for gift deliveries etc. during business hours.

St. Marys Landfill:Closed entirely to general public. Open for regular weekday hours to commercial haulers and contractors that have a charge account; closed entirely on Saturdays. Weigh tickets will be mailed or emailed to account holders; cash, debit or cheque will not be accepted

St. Marys VIA Rail Station and St. Marys Station Gallery are closed, and VIA Rail service may be reduced or cancelled. Visit VIA Rail’s website regularly for the latest travel advisories

The Town of St. Marys has closed all municipal offices at town hall and the municipal operations centre.

St Marys Community Players have postponed their spring show “Trying”.  New performance dates are yet to be determined.

St.Marys Homecoming and Heritage event has been postponed until next year Originally scheduled for this July, organizers say the event is now set to take place July 2nd to 4th 2021.

St Marys Horticultural Society Garden Fair scheduled for June 6 at Milt Dunnel Field has been cancelled

Mitchell:

  •  2020 Mitchell Optimist Music Festival.  Arrangements are in place to return registration fees

Church Services:

  • Many Church services in our area are cancelled until further notice.
  • General:
  • Perth County Holstein Club Car Tour is being postponed. The new date will be announced once we’ve had a chance to reassess.
  • Dave’s Diner in Sebringville is closed for in house dining until further notice. Take out is available
  • All Huron Tractor’s upcoming SPRING CLINICS have been cancelled
  • The Grand River Conservation Area has cancelled all March Break activities and camps
  • The Embro Highland Games scheduled for July 1st have been cancelled.
  • Mopar Fest in New Hamburg has been postponed.  Rescheduled for Aug 21 – 22, 2021
  • Kirton Fall Fair has been cancelled for this year
  • Blyth Festival has cancelled its 2020 season
  • Clinton Raceway has postponed the 20202 season until further notice.
