Community Walk: Walking in Their Honour

The Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron, along with community leaders from Stratford, Perth County and the surrounding area, have come together in solidarity to bring our communities together to honour the lives of those taken at residential schools and to recognize the work that remains outstanding from the calls to action by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

A community walk will be held on Thursday, July 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. along the Avon River between the William Hutt and Lakeside Drive bridges in the spirit of reflection, healing and reconciliation. Participants are invited to wear orange shirts and requested to walk in a clockwise direction, joining in from any convenient access point.
