May 5th is National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, AKA Red Dress Day.
This national day of reflection honours the lives of Indigenous women, girls and Two Spirit people who have been tragically lost or remain missing.

Red dresses are hung up as a way to help lost spirits find their way home to their loved ones.

May 5th, the community is invited to reflect, learn and take part in collective remembrance.
5pm: Meet at the front steps of St. Marys Public Library (15 Church St N) and start solidarity walk down Queen St to Riverwalk Commons
6pm: Sacred Fire begins with singing and drumming with Patsy-Ann Day and Melissa Stevens.
