Hike for Hospice raises $105,000

Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth is celebrating a successful Hike for Hospice.

This year’s 7th annual event was held virtually on Sunday, June 6th with participants collecting pledges and walking, hiking and running to raise money for end-of-life care in our community.

Organizers were hoping to raise $95,000 but ended up surpassing their goal with a total of $105,000 raised.

Board Chair for Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth Dennis Young says they are overwhelmed by the generosity in our area.

“Not only are we being supported but the public is allowing us to perform the types of services that are much needed in the communities.”

The hospice provides a home away from home for those with a life limiting illness that is usually at an advanced stage.
