Fanshawe College bringing Personal Support Worker course back to Stratford

It’s an opportunity to train for a career as a personal support worker without having to leave home.

Starting in January, Fanshawe College is bringing back its PSW course to Stratford with two days a week of in-person learning combined with two days of virtual learning.

The course also involves a placement with a local employer that could lead to a job down the road.

Fanshawe College’s Heather Mackenzie-Card says PSW’s play a vital role.

“The key person in healthcare that supports an individual with life skill supports, whether that’s at home, someone who is in hospice to working in long-term care.”

There are two upcoming information sessions where you can learn more about the program and you can find the details on Fanshawe’s website.
