Perth-Wellington’s MPP says a newly tabled bill will remove barriers to investment in the agritourism sector across the province.
Matthew Rae tabled the Growing Agritourism Act today (Monday) and he says, if passed, the legislation will remove barriers to investment, provide consistency across Ontario’s agritourism providers, and ensure participants are aware of the inherent risks associated with farm activities.
Agritourism is any agriculturally based operation or activity that brings visitors to a farm or ranch.
The act is MPP Rae’s second Private Members Bill since being elected two years ago.
