You’re being warned about coyotes after several reports of the animals in and around Stratford.
Officials say the most recent sighting was reported Wednesday morning in the T.J. Dolan Conservation Area.
While coyotes are usually wary of humans and avoid people whenever possible, they may be more aggressive during mating season, or when protecting a den.
You’re reminded to keep your dog on a leash, keep your distance and never approach or touch a coyote.
