Rich cultural experience promised at Stratford Summer Music

Stratford Summer Music is back with a diverse lineup of over 50 events, promising to enchant audiences with music and performances.

Reflecting on the festival’s theme “Bring the Light,” Mark Fewer, Artistic Director of Stratford Summer Music, tells MyStratfordNow that music can be a positive force for us to get through tough times.

“Music does join us together in a way that nothing else does,” Fewer said.

Expressing gratitude for community support, Fewer says that without that donor support, they wouldn’t be here anymore.

Fewer teases surprises while encouraging guests to explore the diverse lineup.

“When I program a show I don’t like to tell the audience everything we’re going to do. So there’ll be a few surprises,” he said.

Stratford Summer Music starts Thursday and runs to August 11, promising a rich cultural experience featuring artists like Angela Hewitt and Ofra Harnoy.

Opening night is from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Avondale, 194 Avondale Ave., featuring Michael Bridge, Yolanda Bruno and Fewer in“Bring The Light”

Tickets range from $15-$135.
