The Beer Store on Huron Street is permanently closed

The days of having two beers stores in Stratford appears to be over.

Natasha McVie, Director of Marketing for The Beer Store, provided an update to MyStratfordNow Tuesday morning, noting the Huron Street location is permanently closed, as a result of an extensive fire back in May.

Employees were recently told about the permanent closure.

Huron Street staff have been offered shifts at the C.H. Meier Blvd location.

In it’s media statement, The Beer Store thanks first responders, “who safely and quickly extinguished the fire.”

The Huron Street location was immediately shut down as a result of the fire and safety gates were installed around the property.

The company said they understand that the closure of the location may cause inconvenience to valued customers.
