Warm temperatures and rain not expected to cause flooding

It’s a tale of two kinds of weather this week in Stratford.

Forecasts for the weekend are calling for rain with the temperatures rising to as high as six degrees.

However, the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority says flooding isn’t a concern.

Eleanor Heagy is the Communication Specialist with the UTRCA.

She tells us why they aren’t concerned:

There is one thing they are worried about though.

The UTRCA says even small increases in water levels will make ice unstable.

They’re advising people to keep their children and pets away from watercourses.
