Kollmer, Celine

Celine Gertrud Kollmer, age 88, of Anne Hathaway Residence passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday January 7, 2014.

Born in Sulz, Germany, daughter of the late Albert and Maria (Schwendemann) Becherer. Celine served in the Second World War. She was a very active member of her community and enjoyed her many good friends and social groups.

Beloved wife of the late Johann Kollmer who predeceased her in 1975. Loving mother of Christine Buhlman (Mike). Cherished grandmother of Jennyfer (Dennis) and Sarah (Adam). Great grandmother of Amara. Dear sister of Albert Becherer. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sons Peter and Stefan Kollmer, sisters Hilda (Paul) and Lucia (Alfred), brother Hans (Martha) and sister-in-law Elisabeth.

A visitation and memorial service will be held at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St. Stratford in the Spring. Details will be announced at a later date.
