Five impaired charges have been laid thus far in Perth County as part of the Festive RIDE campaign after 54 RIDE program events.
Officers have conducted 883 RIDE check events across 13 West Region detachments, resulting in 148 impaired driving charges.
Another 10 drivers have received warn range suspensions.
This compares to 140 impaired driving charges, 21 warn-range suspensions after 1033 RIDE check events over the first 21 days of the 2023 campaign.
There were six impaired driving charges laid in Perth County through three weeks of the 2023 campaign.
The Festive RIDE campaign is an annual police enforcement and education initiative aimed at taking impaired drivers off Ontario roads during the holiday season.
This campaign runs until Jan. 1.
