The CJCS/Kiwanis Christmas Basket Fund Radiothon was a big success.
The one-day, 12-hour event held on Friday (Dec. 13) was a big push for the local fundraiser that helps puts food on the table for those in need in Stratford and area.
An estimated $37,800 dollars has been raised, according to the Kiwanis Club, reaching 76 per cent of its $50,000 target so far.
Numerous guests stopped by the CJCS studios for interviews, to provide donations and entertain listeners with lively stories. A few musicians even brought their instruments to perform on air.
It was the 48th edition of the radiothon. Organizers are hoping to feed 900 people in Stratford and area.
Fundraising continues through December.
