A Zorra Township resident has lost more than $200,000 in a bitcoin fraud.
Oxford OPP were notified of the fraud on Tuesday.
The same day police were alerted to a fraud involving apple pay cards, resulting in a Tillsonburg resident losing $40,000.
The frauds are not connected but they both involve asking for payment through abnormal means. Police remind the public that legitimate businesses and government agencies don’t ask for payment through bitcoin or gift cards.
