Four provincial election candidates so far in Perth-Wellington

Four candidates have announced their intention to run locally in the provincial election.

Perth-Wellington candidates include Conservative Matthew Rae, Ian Morton for the Greens, Liberal Ashley Fox and NDP candidate Jason Davis.

Rae is running for re-election. Conservatives say they are campaigning to protect Ontario, and continue to rebuild the economy, while keeping costs down.

Morton is a teacher, who believes in the party’s environmental, social and economic goals.

Fox is a nurse with a focus on investments in healthcare and affordable housing.

Davis, a diesel technician and small business owner, is an advocate for deeply affordable housing across the riding.

A complete list of candidates will be available after 2 p.m. on Feb. 13 on the Elections Ontario website.

The local election office at 107 Erie St. in Stratford, allows early voting from today until Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. The office is open 7 days a week.

Election day in Ontario is Feb. 27.

Voting locations have not been announced but will be released after Feb. 14.

You can also apply to vote by mail. It can take up to four days to process votes by mail and Elections Ontario must receive your completed voting kit by 6 p.m. on Feb. 27 to be counted.
