GOJHL: St. Marys ten points clear atop east division standings

St. Marys Lincolns kept the winning ways going over the weekend with a pair of wins.

The Lincolns (33-6-1-0) edged Elmira Sugar Kings 3-2 on Saturday behind goals from Ethan Coups, Blake Elzinga and Chase MacQueen-Spence.

Brett Warrilow and Ryan Forwell scored for the Sugar Kings.

Elsewhere in the GOJHL on Saturday, Aiden Renaud and Carter Coombs scored for Listowel Cyclones in a 2-1 win over Komoka Kings.

Nathaniel Adams scored for the Kings.

On Friday, the Lincolns got two goals from Luca Spagnolo in their 7-0 win over LaSalle Vipers. Ryan Cornfield, Jaden Lee, Quinn Gavin-White, Elzinga and MacQueen-Spence added singles for the Lincolns.

Colby Booth-Housego stopped 18 shots for the shutout.

Stratford Warriors blanked the Sarnia Legionnaires 3-0. Jonas Schmidt, Rhyse Brown and Nolan Miller scored for the Warriors.

Chase Furlong stopped all 27 shots for the win in net.
