Huron OPP responded to a person who barricaded themself into a residence in Vanastra.
Tactics and crisis negotiation teams helped out on Friday, after the person refused to leave a residence after a report of a disturbance during the early afternoon.
The individual initially refused to leave but was taken into custody without injury.
Charges include uttering threats to cause bodily harm, assault a peace officer with a weapon, obstructing a police officer and mischief under $5,000.
The accused is in custody pending a bail hearing. Police said the name of the individual is not being released due to concerns for their wellbeing.
There was no threat to public safety.
