For a second straight day, you can’t beat the heat at Lions Pool

The Lions Pool remains closed for a second straight day after the City of Stratford said cleanup efforts continue after a ‘fouling’ at the local pool.

The city said it is indeed a poop cleanup job, and staff must follow provincial guidelines, which specify certain chlorine levels for a certain amount of time for certain types of foulings.

The city is also working with Huron Perth Public Health to ensure proper disinfection.

They remind residents to ensure swim diapers are used for youngsters, and to exercise judgement on visiting the pool if you or your child are experiencing gastrointestinal issues.

The closures come as temperatures have soured into the 30’s.

There is no timeline as of yet as to when it will reopen.
