The community stepped up big-time to support a tiny kitten’s surgery.
Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth said that six-week-old kitten Penny was found on the side of the road missing her front leg from the elbow down, with the bone above it broken.
Penny went into surgery Wednesday to remove the rest of her hurt leg and all went well, according to the humane society. She is in a foster home to recover from the operation.
As an added bonus, a fundraiser exceeded a $6,000 goal, with $7,390 contributed.
