The Livery Yard in downtown Stratford is the venue Sunday for a fundraiser that will support ShelterLink Youth Services.
Double Take’s Doug Peterman, a singer and multi-instrumentalist, is set to perform.
Peterman says he’ll be performing for two hours.
“Normally I play with a partner, but this one is going to be a solo gig,” said Peterman.
“I get to go a little bit further at field, and it’s going to be a real mixed program.”
He says the performance will include oldies, showtunes, jazz, and rock.
ShelterLink helps youth ages 14 to 24 experiencing homelessness or those at risk of homelessness by providing prevention, advocacy, shelter, and community services.
Executive Director Cate Trudeau says as the concert is in the summer, there are challenges for youth outside experiencing the heat.
“There’s all of those health-related issues that can come up in the summer,” said Trudeau.
“It’s nice to see the community wrap around us again and to have great members that can use their talents to support our work.”
The organization hopes community members can stop by to show their support.
The fundraiser runs from noon to 2 p.m.
