A section of Romeo Street near the River Gardens Retirement Residence will be closed due to an emergency exercise planned for Thursday.
The City of Stratford said the exercise will see firefighters, police, and paramedics practice city emergency response plans in order to be prepared for any real-life disasters.
Due to this, Romeo Street between Delamere Avenue and Devon Street will be closed from 8:45 a.m. until 11 a.m., while Romeo Street between McCarthy Road and Delamere Avenue and Romeo Street between Ontario Street and Devon Street will only be open to local traffic.
The city asks you to avoid this area so training can be done safely and effectively.
