Impactful local women to be recognized by United Way event in North Perth

Women who have made a positive impact in North Perth will be recognized at an upcoming event.

United Way Perth-Huron said they’re hosting Blue Jeans & Bling, a get-together celebrating women in leadership while also raising funds for their programs.

They said the programs would address important needs in North Perth like housing, mental health, and access to services.

The event will include North Perth Women of Distinction awards, given to those who make contributions to the community through their work or volunteering.

Composer and singer Loreena McKennitt will perform at the event, which runs Nov. 8 at the Listowel Agricultural Hall, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
