Something for everyone at Avondale United Church Variety Show

It’s a gathering of talented, local entertainers.

Avondale United Church host their 5th annual Variety Show on Saturday.

Paul Harris and Karen Brown from the church said, true to its name, the show will include a little bit of something for everyone.

That includes the Kinnaris women’s chamber choir, the Smoky Petes, a male vocal quartet, folk music, rock music and, as Harris describes, “acrobats hanging from silk 20 feet above the stage.”

Broadway-style performances will also feature.

“It is going to be familiar, yet unique,” said Brown.

The show is a fundraiser for outreach efforts at the church, which include food bags for residents, who Harris noted, sometimes have to choose between paying rent and purchasing adequate food.

Tickets are available at the church office or through Ticketscene.
