Clarke looks forward to watching as a fan when lengthy Warriors’ tenure draws to a close

Jason Clarke has accomplished just about everything he set out to do.

The Stratford Warriors Director of Hockey Operations has a couple of Cherrey Cup titles, in 2016 and 2023.

A seven-game, gut wrenching loss in the provincial Sutherland Cup final in 2023 against Leamington was perhaps the ultimate unfinished goal.

Clarke will leave the storied GOHL club at season’s end, after 32 years of hockey contributions.

Relationships are what he will remember the most.

“It’s a global game but it’s a really small world. Just the amount of really good people that you meet in the game, that I’ve been fortunate to meet within the game and especially with the Warriors organization, it’s been fantastic.”

Clarke started as director of the junior hockey club in the spring of 2021.

An Inspector with Stratford Police Service, he told MyStratfordNow the credit for accomplishments goes to his wife and daughter and the support they provide.

He’s looking forward to attending future Warriors games as a fan.
