Hazardous waste drop-off event coming to St Marys

Residents of St Marys and Perth South can drop off their hazardous waste next month.

The Town of St Marys is hosting its municipal hazardous and special product disposal day at the town operations centre on Saturday, April 11 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

The town said St Marys and Perth South residents can drop off items such as paints, batteries, light bulbs, fuels and propane tanks.

Professionals will be on site to accept disposed items which must be sealed in their original marked containers.

Locals can drop off their items at 408 James Street South, as the hazardous waste depot at the town landfill is closed.

The next hazardous waste drop off is scheduled for July 18.
