Marriott, William Reginald

William (Bill) Reginald Marriott of the Ritz Lutheran Villa and Formerly Woodland Towers, Stratford passed away Saturday January 18, 2014 at the age of 98. He was born July 15, 1915 to parents Reginald and Janet (Nettie Barr) Marriott. He was married to the former Olive Griese who predeceased him on March 5, 2006. He lived most of his life in Stratford where he worked at the CNR shops and for the Ministry of Environment. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, lawn and alley bowling and playing cribbage over the years. He especially enjoyed doing odd jobs for the staff and residence of Woodland Towers where he resided for 14 years.  He is survived by sons Bruce and his wife Hilda of Shakespeare and Bob of Stratford. Loved and sadly missed by grandchildren Leanne Marriott and James Misener of Ancaster, Steve Marriott and his wife Kristi of Shakespeare, Jen Clarke and her husband Jason of Stratford. Jill Siebert and her husband Scott of Stratford. He was a very proud great grandfather of Macenzi and Jaris Marriott, Neely Clarke, Ewan and Nathan Siebert. Besides his parents and wife of 66 years he was predeceased by daughter-in-law Linda Marriott March 14, 2002 and his brother Austin Marriott and his wife Leola. The family would like to sincerely thank all the staff at Woodland Towers for their love, friendship and excellent care towards our dad over the past years. Also to the staff at Ritz Lutheran Villa for their compassionate care for the last two months. At Bill’s request a private family service will be held.
