Alice “Betty” Farr

Alice “Betty” Elizabeth Farr, age 83, passed away peacefully at the Maples Home for Seniors, Tavistock on Monday January 20, 2014.

Born in Stratford on July 26, 1930. Alice was a member of the Girl Guides of Canada, an active member of the Lakeside Seniors, Horticultural Society, Army and Navy and also an active and faithful member of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church.

Beloved wife of the late Ronald Farr whom she married on February 27, 1959 and who predeceased her on November 10, 2006. Loving mother of Derek Farr and wife Nancy, Leanne Cosstick and husband Rob. Cherished grandmother of Jessica, Emily, Isabella and Alexis.

Dear sister of Richard “Dick” Coe and wife Marie.

Also survived by nieces, nephews and their families.

Predeceased by sisters Viola Drane (William) and Helen Paige (Gordon), Kathleen Coe, brothers Percy Coe (Kathy) and William Coe (Becky).

Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Friday January 24th from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday January 25th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Avondale Cemetery.
