St. Marys looking for volunteers for ‘vibrant and enjoyable’ events

It’s a fun and rewarding way to give back, meet new people, and help create memorable experiences.

That’s according to the Town of St. Marys, as they invite residents and members of the community to volunteer this summer.

The St. Marys Triathlon is July 5, with flexible shifts available between 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Volunteers will help with set up and clean up, help direct athletes and spectators, and support water stations.

The Stonetown Heritage Festival is scheduled for July 25, with flexible shifts from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Volunteer roles include set up and clean up support, kids zone activities, vendor village assistance, and street patrol.

The town needs at least 15 volunteers for each event.

Volunteers must complete the Town of St. Marys volunteer onboarding process and attend a training session.

Volunteer registration applications are available at the Town of St. Marys website.

The town said volunteers are essential to the success of the events.

For further information, contact volunteer@town.stmarys.on.ca or call 519-284-2340 ext. 629.
