Siegner, Mabel

Mabel Emma Siegner, age 97, of RR 1 Milverton, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 25, 2014.

Born in North Easthope Township, daughter of the late Henry and Lydia (Cook) Kollman. Mabel married her husband Grant on October 5, 1949 and farmed at RR 1 Milverton, where she continued to live up until her passing. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Gadshill and the E.L.W. and a lifetime member of the Hampstead Women’s Institute.

Beloved wife of Grant Siegner who predeceased her on November 1, 2005. Survived by her loving children and grandchildren, son; William Siegner (Deborah) and their children Adam, Rebecca (Joshua Gropp) and Kathryn, daughter; Joan Scheerer (Donald) and their children Jennifer Schultz (Jeff), Kimberly Weiler (Forrest), Carolyn Scheerer, Heather Savile (Josh), son; Alex Siegner (Bonnie Debus) and children Cory (Val Pomaitz) and Dana Siegner. Great grandchildren Avery, Derika and Lexi Schultz, Dylan Weiler, Olivia and Lauren Savile.

Mabel was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters and spouses and all of Grant’s brothers and spouses except her cherished sister-in-law Rita Siegner. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Tuesday January 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday January 29th from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Patricia Jackson will officiate. Spring interment will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Gadshill.
