William Roy Aitcheson, age 100, passed away peacefully at St.Marys Memorial Hospital on December 26, 2014. Born in Stratford, son of the late Robert and Elfleda Aitcheson. Loved husband of the late Helen Jean (Laing) who predeceased him September 19, 1994 and son Robert Alexander who predeceased him February 9, 2009. Father of D. Roy (Patricia), Ken (Jean), Anne Gotts (Ron Butson) and Terry. Gramps to Stephen, Michelle, Evan, Brian, Brad, Brent, Joanne, Christine, Tracey, Larry, Cathy, Robert, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Roy was involved in a multitude of roles over the years. A bearer of many titles, we can say he was first a father and farmer but also involved in Farm Federation, Pork Producers, Farm Forums, Cream Producers, 4-H Leader and Sunday School Teacher. Employed by Great West life, Beaver Lumber, Martin Structures and Molson Industries. As per his wishes, cremation and a short remembrance that will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, December 30th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital or the charity of one’s choice through the funeral home. 519.271.7411 www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
