Franklin Roney, 86, of Staffa passed away at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.

Beloved husband of Margaret Roney. Dear father of George Roney  and Ann, Bob Roney and Nancy, Ruth Feltz, Kathy Bunting, Marg Ten Hove and Bill, Joanne Williamson and Kevin, Susan Robinson and Brent. Dear father-in-law of Gary Bettles. Loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren. Dear brother of Earl and Gweb Roney, Hazel and Raymond Huras, Robert and Ruby Roney. Dear brother-in-law of Alex  and Hannah Miller. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his daughter Barbara Bettles, grandson Jack Robinson and sisters Edith Bell and Ethel Mahaffy.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to Seaforth Community Hospital would be appreciated.
