Bruce, Margaret

Margaret Fraser Bruce (nee Morrice) passed away January 13, 2015 in Stratford, in her 93rd year.

She was born in Old Deer, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on March 14, 1922 and came to Canada with her parents and sister in 1925.

She served with the Canadian Womens Army Corp, attached to the Dental Corp. She was Dr. James Peterson’s assistant for 23 years.

She married Robert Perrie Bruce on April 29, 1944, who predeceased her on June 20, 1999.

She is survived by sons – James (Debbie) Mississauga, and Bill (Stratford); grandsons Andrew (New York, USA) and John (Mississauga); sister-in-law Lois Bruce (Saskatoon) and her many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sybil and brother-in-law Ernie Brown; her brother-in-law Gordon Bruce and nephews Tom Brown and Larry Bruce.

Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, January 16. From 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. a short reception will follow.
