Bast, Grace

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Monday, February 9, 2015. Grace was born 87 years ago in Mornington Township, a daughter of the late Roy Denstedt and former Margaret Askin.

Loving wife of Vernon Bast with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Beloved mother of Dale (Lynn) of Stratford, Shirley (George) Vallance of Vancouver, BC, Marlene Hundert (Ken) of Stratford, and Nancy Swanstrom (Bob) of Brights Grove. Dear grandmother of Richard (Liz), Sarah (Josh), Jennifer (Pete), Charles (Michelle), Peter, Leah and Great-Grandmother of Nathan, Tyler and Benjamin. Survived by sister Carol Lynch (Gary Cooper) of Sarnia and sisters-in-law Marilyn Denstedt and Doreen Denstedt. She was predeceased by her brothers Earl (Sally) Denstedt, Bill Denstedt, Lloyd Denstedt, and sister June (Doug) Eller.

Grace was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, Milverton. She was a life member of the North Mornington Women’s Institute and a former member of the North Mornington Presbyterian Church.

Visitation will be held at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.. Pastor Krista Vandersar officiating. Spring interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton.
