Wagner, Harold

Passed away peacefully on Saturday February 14, 2015 at Stratford General Hospital.  Harold resided in New Hamburg and was born 84 years ago in Wellesley.  He was the son of the late Philip & Hilda (Riebling) Wagner.

Beloved husband and best friend of Doreen (Cook) Wagner who he married May 25, 1957.  Loving father of Wayne (Sue) Wagner of New Hamburg.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Irene Hofstetter of Wellesley, Audrey & husband Peter Switzer of Stratford, Dorothy & husband Merlyn Martin of West Montrose, Helen & husband Ed Heise of Wellesley.  Dear uncle to a number nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.  Harold was predeceased by a daughter (at birth) and a brother-in-law John Hofstetter.

Harold was a member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wellesley.

Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Tuesday February 17, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. and again Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday February 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wellesley with Pastor Andy Schroth officiating.  Interment to follow in the church cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to The Lutheran Hour, First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
