Harmer, Helen

Helen June Harmer, age 77, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on March 2, 2015. She was born in Stratford, daughter of the late John and Margaret Hatch. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Wayne Harmer who predeceased her August 6, 2013. Loving mother of Michael Harmer, Wendy Herman (Paul) and Kelly Zorgdrager (Mark). Grandmother of Chad Herman (Laura), Scott Herman (Trina), Kyle Herman (Elizabeth) and Stephanie Zorgdrager. Great grandmother of Brock and Payton Herman. Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Doug Harmer (Dorothy), Marion MacKenzie (Lorne), her step mother Eleanor Hatch, several nieces and nephews and their families and a close cousin Marlene Collister of London. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Dorothy Harmer. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, March 4, from 7-9 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Avondale Cemetery, 4 Avondale Avenue (St. Matthew Section) on Thursday at 12 noon followed by a reception at the funeral home.
