Mogk, Harvey M.

Passed away suddenly at his residence in Milverton on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Harvey was born 87 years ago, a son of the late Martin Mogk and former Clara Gernhaelder. Loving husband of the late Mae Mogk (nee Illman) who predeceased him in 2005. Dear father of William Mogk (Kathleen) of Thunder Bay, Suzanne Yemen (Brian) of Ancaster, Dianne Schwartzentruber and friend Morgan Lloyd of Waterloo. Beloved grandpa to Jennifer Barrett (Tyler), Michael and Eric Yemen and Kirk Schwartzentruber (fiancé Amanda Crocker) and great-grandpa to Georgia-Mae Barrett. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Florence Gropp (late Earl) of Milverton, Isabel Graul (Cam) of Stratford, Dorothy Heipel (Raymond) of Waterloo, Jackie Gray (Andy) of Milverton, Dorothy Mogk of Guelph. Also remembered by the Illman Family and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Clarence (Dorothy), Paul (Laurene), Earl, and William in infancy, sisters Georgine McLeod (Allen), Viola Luckhardt (Clayton).

Harvey was the local pharmacist having owned and operated Mogk Pharmacy in Milverton for many years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, The Milverton Lions Club and the Milverton Chamber of Commerce. He was involved in many ways in the Perth County Board of Education.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Milverton on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. Pastor Karen Kuhnert officiating. Interment of ashes in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
