Henriquez, Jose Francisco

Jose Francisco Henriquez- Jose “Chico” Henriquez age 61 passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Monday February 10, 2014. Born in El Salvador son of Selvador and Jesus Hernandez a Henriquez. Predeceased by his true love Velma Thompson in 1998. Jose was a hard worker, and enjoyed his job at Danny’s Truck for his working career in Canada. Among other jobs he was a cook, farm labourer; however he was most happy to be in the garden. He will be fondly remembered by his family, 2 sons, 2 brothers and 2 sisters in El Salvador. Jose is loved and always will be remembered by his step-daughters, Michelle Thompson-Duffels (Bill Nelson), Billie-Joe Thompson (Ryan Walkes) and Olivia Thompson (Aaron Jewells). Jose will also be missed by his grandchildren Michael, Willie Jr, Angel, Brendan, Tyler and Adryan. Jose was predeceased by a brother in El Salvador. A special Thank-You to the wonderful staff at Stratford General Hospital and to Jose’s very close friend Danny Jackson for his guidance and father like advice, and Rebecca Yoder-Neufeld acts of kindness for helping Jose to become a resident of Canada. Thank you to the Elizabeth Street friends who made Jose always feel like family. Family and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home 430 Huron Street., Stratford on Thursday February 13, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will, be held at the Funeral home on Friday February 14, 2014 at 11:00 am with interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery. Jose will be laid to rest with his one true love on their special day of Valentines.
